Drug and Alcohol Policy

Policy Statement:

Cavalry Lifts Ltd is committed to maintaining a safe and productive work environment for all employees. As such, we have implemented this Drug and Alcohol Policy to ensure the well-being and safety of our workforce and the integrity of our operations.

Scope:

This policy applies to all employees, contractors, visitors, and any individuals representing Cavalry Lifts Ltd. It covers all company premises, job sites, company-owned vehicles, and any other location where our employees are engaged in work-related activities.

Policy Guidelines:

 

1. Prohibited Substances:

  • The use, possession, sale, distribution, or presence of illegal drugs or unauthorized controlled substances in the workplace is strictly prohibited.

  • The misuse of prescription medication is also not allowed, unless prescribed by a licensed medical professional and does not impair the employee's ability to perform their job safely.

 

2. Alcohol Use:

  • The consumption of alcohol is not permitted during working hours or while on company premises.

  • Employees are prohibited from reporting for work under the influence of alcohol.

 

3. Testing and Detection:

  • Cavalry Lifts Ltd reserves the right to conduct drug and alcohol testing when there is reasonable suspicion that an employee may be under the influence.

  • Pre-employment and post-incident drug and alcohol testing may be required.

 

4. Consequences:

  • Violations of this policy may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.

  • Legal action may be pursued if an employee is found to be involved in the possession, distribution, or sale of illegal substances.

 

5. Assistance and Support:

  • Cavalry Lifts Ltd recognizes that substance abuse can be a treatable condition. Employees seeking help for substance abuse issues are encouraged to seek support and treatment resources.

  • Employees should inform their immediate supervisor or the HR department if they require assistance in addressing substance abuse issues.

 

6. Confidentiality:

  • All information related to an employee's drug or alcohol issues will be treated with confidentiality to the extent allowed by law.

 

7. Education and Awareness:

  • We will provide education and awareness programs to employees on the risks and consequences of substance abuse.

 

8. Review and Updates:

  • This policy will be reviewed regularly to ensure its effectiveness and compliance with legal requirements.
